He had an establishment in Chembur and shifted to near the Taj in the hope of upward mobility. He subsequently went through a lot of family problems and finally kicked the bucket. I too was his customer as was Arvind. After I joined Coats, our relationship was cemented further and till I left Mumbai finally in 1987, he was my tailor and through me to many other dandies of those days.<BR/><BR/>After I shifted to Pune in 1990, Riaz became my tailor and continues to be till today though he too has grown into a big establishment selling ready made stuff. For just a few select old time customers, he personally measures, cuts and gets the cloth stitched under his supervision.
